Facebook, and other sites like this provide an opportunity for those NOT deeply involved in personal communication devices (i.e. black berries, palms, htcs, etc.) to maintain open contact with numerous friends and aquaintances easily. I have opted out of these types of applications, for the simple fact that I feel there is a distinct lack of privacy and security in regards to how your personal information is protected. I believe that most people would be wise to cut back on number of details, pictures, and information they post, as well as consider restricting the access by others to search and view their pages.

thanks for giving me some more interesting people to fill out my subscribed list and expand my horizons... i especially enjoyed the short bios you included on each person as part of the post

i've already seen items pass by on FriendFeed from most of these people, so rather than just get exposed to them as FOAF's, i subscribed to you and all 10 of your suggestions!
